Coffeebar is a contemporary cafe set within what was once an outdated suburban office building in Menlo Park. Outside, the building is transformed through a simple palette of materials—steel, cypress, and glass. Elliptical wooden louvers shade oversized glass windows and doors to provide sun protection and soften natural light. Steel trim and blackened metal panels provide a sophisticated, industrial aesthetic to complement the interiors. Taking inspiration from Italian coffee bars, the interior features terrazzo countertops and walls. Bicycle themed elements pay homage to the biking culture of Silicon Valley, and a large, live-edged walnut table suitable for family-style seating, reinforces ideas of community. www.coffeebar.com
