Since 2021, the Metropolis Magazine Planet Positive Awards have celebrated sustainability, health, and wellbeing in the built environment. We’re honored to share that Kona Village was named this year’s winner in the Hospitality category.
From the start, sustainability was a driving force behind the revitalization of the historic resort. “We realized there was actually a much greater responsibility—or kuleana—than to simply resurrect the past,” says Partner Greg Warner. “It required that we deeply understand and respect this special place, with its abundant natural beauty and resources, along with its rich cultural legacy and significance.”
