Kua Bay has been recognized with a 2019 AIA San Francisco architecture citation award.
As noted by the jury, “Kua Bay is refreshing in its simplicity and restraint. The materials are beautiful and deftly handled. In framing its gorgeous site, the structure becomes less of a mundane object and more of a platform for the experiences of relaxation, escape, and an appreciation of nature.”
