We are elated to announce that Walker Warner Architects received an AIA Honolulu Award of Excellence for our Kahua Kuili project. Our team conceived the residence as a modern interpretation of a classic Hawaiian summer camp situated on the island’s large cinder cone, Pu’u Kuili. Each of the home’s interconnected buildings reinforce the camp-like aesthetic by utilizing simple, durable materials, creating the perfect place to unwind and relax while enjoying the natural climate and landscape of Hawaii.
Founder and Principal Greg Warner accepted the award on behalf of the firm, celebrating with Marion Philpotts, Principal of Philpotts Interiors, and Link Vaughn, Principal of Maryl Construction.
